Aveda

Aveda is a line of products meant to help you to fight skin problems in general. Their wrinkle products are specifically meant to get rid of wrinkles using natural and botanically based ingredients that they say will actually boost collagen levels. We’ve never heard of natural botanically based ingredients that do that. The only ingredients that produce more collagen and elastin are either animal based or gold, the only antioxidant to give that effect.
History of Aveda
Avage was started in 1978, and since then they have created Aveda stores, salons, and spas. Their specific line of wrinkle products now contains 4 different products including a lifting serum, firming face creme, firming eye creme, and line minimizer.
Benefits
They don’t actually list a full ingredients list. But from those that we have been able to find, they have a bunch of moisturizers and one antioxidant. They say they have peptides, but not listing specific ones, we find it hard to believe and could see them justifying it with a 1% concentration of one peptide, if even that. It’s certainly not unheard of. All in all, our conclusion would be that they don’t have any wrinkle fighting ingredients.
Possible side effects
Possible side effects include redness, irritation, burning, itching, sensitivity to the sun, peeling, and dryness.
Conclusion
We would not recommend using Aveda products. They have no potential to produce results and can be quite detrimental to the skin in general. They may have spas across the world. But obviously, they forgot about the part where you are supposed to actually create quality products. There are several products on our top list which have remembered that part and acted accordingly. We recommend checking those out for greater results.
