Aveda is a line of products meant to help you to fight skin problems in general. Their wrinkle products are specifically meant to get rid of wrinkles using natural and botanically based ingredients that they say will actually boost collagen levels. We’ve never heard of natural botanically based ingredients that do that. Generally the only ingredients that produce this kind of an effect are animal based.

History of Aveda

Aveda was started in 1978, and since then they have created Aveda stores, salons, and spas. Their specific line of wrinkle products now contains 4 different products including a lifting serum, firming face creme, firming eye creme, and line minimizer.

Benefits

They don’t actually list a full ingredients list for these products. But from those that we have been able to find, they have a bunch of moisturizers and antioxidants. They say they have peptides, but not listing specific ones so we find it hard to believe and could see them justifying it with a 1% concentration of one peptide, if even that. It’s certainly not unheard of for a product to do that.

One thing that we like about the Aveda products is the fact that they use natural ingredients. While not all of the ingredients are completely effective, they do use some essential oils that may benefit your skin.

Possible side effects

Possible side effects include redness, irritation, burning, itching, sensitivity to the sun, peeling, and dryness. It’s important for you to check the ingredients to be sure you are not allergic to any of them.

Conclusion

One thing we look for in a quality wrinkle cream is the inclusion of a money back guarantee. Generally this shows that the company is confident in their product. Unfortunately, we could not find a guarantee listed for the Aveda products.

Most of the Aveda wrinkle fighting products would not be our first choice but there are some quality face creams to consider. Others have little potential to produce results and can sometimes be quite detrimental to the skin in general. They may have spas across the world but some question the quality of their products. There are several products on our top list which seem to perform better as noted by consumers. We recommend checking those out for greater results.
