Elite HGF Youth Elixir

This concentrated serum claims to use the Human Growth Factor to restore youth to aging faces. Using a derivative from the hormone – an ingredient that Elite calls “Thymulen 4”—it is supposedly useful in restoring the natural loss of our thymic factors related to the decline of the thymus with age. The whole process is extremely complicated, but it makes more sense when we learn that Thymulen 4 is actually Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2. Peptides are known to stimulate collagen growth and improve the skin – aiding in anti-aging. We are interested in seeing the other ingredients in this serum, as peptides are relatively ineffective unless there are at least three of them in a product.
Seaweed Extract, Purified Water, Hyaluronic Acid, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, Phenoxyethanol, Ehtylhexylglycerin
Benefits of Elite HGF Youth Elixir
This product contains hyaluronic acid, which promotes the production of retinol, which stimulates collagen growth. This is necessary for aging skin, since collagen growth dramatically decreases starting in the 40’s, and it helps the skin look full and young.
Possible Side Effects for Elite HGF Youth Elixir
This product contains ehtylhexylglycerin, which is a preservative found in many cosmetics. Unfortunately, it has been proven to cause skin irritation in almost any concentration and for most skin types. This is not the kind of ingredient you would expect to find in a high quality product.
Conclusion
We would not recommend this product. We don’t think that it contains enough peptides to be effective in the way that it claims. It does have hyaluronic acid, but you can buy hyaluronic acid in higher concentrations for cheaper. This elixir is expensive, costing over $100 for about one fluid ounce. Overall, we would say that this product would do more harm than good, and will not aid in anti-aging.
