Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation is a face cream that claims to be able to smooth facial lines and provide intense free radical protection – all while containing only safe, all-natural ingredients. It also claims to permeate the skin and combat discolorations such as freckles, age spots, and sun damage.
Despite its light texture, it is said to rapidly nourish and retexturize the skin. We appreciate that there are no side-effects associated with Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation because of its all-natural ingredients, we need to look at the ingredients in order to determine how its effectiveness.
Ingredients
The active ingredients in Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation are all natural extracts and vitamins.
Actiwhite™ and licorice -used to prevent and correct discoloration and even skin tone. Actiwhite is a patented ingredient made from a combination of pea extract and sugar. These are most likely to be effective as exfoliates, but not in significantly fixing the skin tone.
Vitamin C – they claim that it stimulates collagen production. However, it does not penetrate the epidermal layer of the skin and cannot effectively thicken the skin or reduce wrinkles and lines.
Fruit acids -retexturizes and soothes lines on the face. They probably moisturize the skin, but, like vitamin C, they cannot reduce lines.
Sandalwood, geranium, licorice and chamomile -other extracts designed to soothe, replenish, balance and purify the skin.
Vitamin E -heals, restores and nourishes.
Pros
This is an all-natural, safe and effective moisturizer. It contains proven ingredients and is relatively affordable at $45 for 1.7 ounces. It received many favorable consumer reviews that raved about its light texture, light scent, and effective hydration.
Cons
In spite of those benefits, we don’t think that Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation will be effective as an anti-aging treatment. It doesn’t contain any peptides or retinol, which are some of the only ingredients proven to stimulate collagen production.
Conclusion
We would not recommend trying this product. It will be fine as a face cream, but will not reduce wrinkles or fine lines and probably will not even brighten the skin.
