Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer
Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer is promoted as an organic hydrator full of cold-pressed ingredients, inspired by the ancient world. In history Hungary water is known to help heal various body ailments and is the first ingredient in this moisturizer.
Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer was engineered to improve skin’s moisture though natural ingredients. It reportedly softens dry skin and is recommended for those over the age of thirty. Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer even contains antioxidants. But does it actually improve skin and prevent aging?
Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer is priced just under fifty dollars, a high price for a moisturizer with strange ingredients. This cream may contain antioxidants, but they cannot improve the look of wrinkles. Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer does not contain any real anti-aging ingredients. The half a dozen oils and butters used can hydrate skin, though its main ingredient comes with questions.
Hungary water is made of alcohol and is distilled with various herbs. Ironically Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer promotes its product to not contain alcohol. Exactly what Hungary water includes is not named.
Its ingredients are Queen of Hungary water, cold pressed almond oil, cold pressed jojoba oil, fresh wheatgrass decoction, toothed wrack seaweed, aloe vera gel, glycerin, stearic acid, cocoa butter, cetearyl alcohol, cold pressed evening primrose oil, coconut oil, cold pressed wheat germ oil, beeswax, vanilla absolute, violet leaf absolute, lanolin, triethanolamine, perfume, and propylparaben.
Despite being called organic, Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer contains a paraben. Parabens are preservatives that can heavily irritate skin. Whether or not Skin’s Shangri-la Moisturizer really benefits skin is unknown because it does not provide enough information on the product and leaves many questions about its ingredients.
